He basically validated the article on here about how to read the GT serial numbers. He also answered my questions about the serial number on the 24' cruiser I just bought. He was an awesome guy to talk to and gave me a lot of history about GT's early days in the garage where they started. He also worked there with Greg Swingrover.the owner of Crupi and BMX Hall of Famer. Anyway, I got a hold of a guy named Sean Walters who was one of the production supervisors in the Santa Ana shop in '93-'94 and then at the Huntington shop. ![]() Schwinn bought GT in the late 90's, then Pacific Cycle bought Schwinn in '01, along with Dyno, Mongoose and several other brands. Since I didn't get any replies to my post, I did a little digging and found a phone number on the net for GT, well Pacific Cycle actually.
